Details There will be a GENERAL ASSEMBLY for everyone (McGill, non-McGillian) about the eviction of the Muslim students from their space space at McGill. The General Assembly help provide a quick history of the situation, recent developments, and possible actions. EVERYONE IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGE TO COME TO ASK QUESTIONS, AS WELL AS PROVIDE THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS AND INPUT TO THE MSA.

Refreshments will be served.

On June 1st, the Muslims students, faculty, and stuff were evicted from their prayer space at McGill University. They are currently without any designated prayer space on campus, but are continuing to perform the 5 daily prayers outside on McGill's lowerfield. As the situation is continuing to deteriorate, further actions will be required.

24-HOURS AGAINST TORTURE

On 8 June, the Coalition for Justice for Adil Charkaoui will be outside the downtown office of Paul Martin for "24-hours against torture". Please join us - for an hour, two hours, or the full 24-hour hours - to speak out against the unspeakable.

This action is part of a pan-Canadian day against torture. Events are being planned across Canada, including in Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton, Durham, Vancouver and Toronto.

Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, Bagram, extraordinary rendition programmes... Under cover of the so-called "war on terror", western governments are in the process of normalising state use of the most extreme forms of physical and psychological abuse. Canada is deeply involved. It's time to speak out!
